Project 12: B & W Pancakes - just us girls :)

So, my 3 year old daughter and I get to spend a lot of quality time alone together since my husband is a pilot and is gone 5 days a week.  The last 2 Saturdays she asked me to help her make pancakes!  What a fun idea and always a good memory, so of course I "helped".  I did more of these in black and white than normal for my Project 12 (Black and White Month).

Linn-Gomez-Campbell Family

A day without rain.  Yes, please!  I trekked back to my hometown for this gorgeous Family's pictures!  I am friends with the daughter, Angela, from high school.  She and I were both in choir and both cheerleaders and then she coached with my mom and sister!  OH YEA!  We were also in the play, "Guys and Dolls" together, if I remember correctly!

Angela's entire extended family was going to be in town for the holidays and she decided that she wanted to do an entire family photo shoot for her mom, who has been going through treatments for cancer, recently.

So, we went out to a field behind my mom's best friend's house and put on our boots to run around and find some great spots to take pictures.  We had SUCH a blast and even thought it was cold and the poor kiddos from California were done after 5 minutes, we did the best we could and got some adorable shots.

Little Mr. Kingston

I love a good challenge and I want to keep growing.  Newborns are not my speciality, but I wanted to try a couple things, so I called up my friend, Haley Bellows (who has an amazing blog, btw - click her name!).  She just recently was honored with a new baby nephew named Kingston.  She has been spending a good amount of time with him lately and suggested that I borrow him for a mini-shoot.

He was awake the whole time, which was fine, wince he was almost 6 weeks old.  I wasn't expecting a sleepy newborn.  However, if anyone wants to let me borrow their newborns, I would love to keep practicing!

I had another photo shoot in an hour, so we got what we could....here are just a few!
